Dr Angamuthu appreciated the positive response shown to Mission Tejeswee by the Mahila Arugya Samitis and said that they could play a key role in achieving the target fixed for the district under the project.

He called upon the samitis to carry out house-to-house visits to ensure that all pregnant women and children in the age group of six to 60 months are administered IFA tablets and syrup.

Dr Angamuthu emphasised coverage of all targeted beneficiaries within their respective localities and also cross-checks so that not a single unit is left out.
