Order to clear drainage system along NH 37

GUWAHATI, July 6 � Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Dr M Angamuthu has asked the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and the Circle Officers of Sonapur and Dispur to undertake work immediately to clear the entire drainage system along the National Highway 37 from Khanapara to Byrnihat.

The DC gave this instruction after a spot inspection of the place during the weekend.

An official statement said that Dr Angamuthu noticed during his visit that at many places the drainage system has been blocked due to sedimentation, disposal of garbage or encroachment, hindering smooth flow of rain water.
