Online registration must for Army enrolment

GUWAHATI, Dec 17 - The Indian Army has gone online with a re-designed website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in for enrolment of Officers (less Union Public Commission entries) and recruitment for Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs)/ Other Ranks (OR) in consonance with the concept of �Digital India�. This was stated in a press release.

The existing open rally recruitment system, where candidates could just walk in with their documents for recruitment, has been replaced with online registration-based recruitment system for enrolment into the Army. The online registration for candidates has commenced on July 1, 2015.

The Army Recruiting Office, Narangi will be conducting the Recruitment Rally at Khanapara, Guwahati from January 9 to 11, 2016 for Soldier Technical post only, for all districts of Assam. Performa for online registration is available on the website. Online application for the Khanapara Rally can be made till January 4, 2016. No other change has been made in the recruitment procedures except that now candidates can attend the recruitment rally only after they have registered and filled up the online applications.

Moreover, the candidates can also download their admit cards 10 to 15 days prior to the rally.

The Army website can be accessed from any cyber caf� or any Central Government or State Government kiosks, like the Central Government Common Service Centre (CSC) scheme, etc. Additionally, the Army Recruiting Office, Narangi and nearest Army or Assam Rifles unit will also assist candidates in this respect, the release added.
