DULIAJAN, Jan 16 � ONGCL and BPCL will clash in the semifinals of the ongoing 32nd PSPB Inter Unit Volleyball Tournament here at Nehru Maiden. Today in the second day of the tournament, ONGCL entered the semifinal by defeating GAIL 2-0 (25-16 & 25-14) in group A while BPCL in group A ensured their position to the semis by drubbing IOCL (AOD) and MRPL 2-0 (25-3 & 25-7) and (25-6 & 25-8) respectively.
In the other league matches played today, GAIL beat CPCL 2-0 (25-19 & 25-12) in group A, OIL beat IOCL (AOD) 2-0 (25-11 & 25-9) in group B and MRPL beat IOCL(AOD) 2-0 (25-16 & 25-2).
Yesterday in the inaugural group A match, ONGCL beat Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) 2-0 (25-15 & 25-14). While in the following two group B matches, host OIL team outplayed Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) 2-0 (25-7 & 25-9) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) defeated OIL 2-0 (25-14 & 25-9) respectively.
Earlier, on Sunday the tournament was inaugurated by NK Agarwal, Resident Chief Executive, OIL.
