One more JE death in Udalguri

UDALGURI, July 19 - One more person of Amjuli village under Harisinga PS died of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) Wednesday last at the Tezpur Medical College and Hospital. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Bahadur Kharka (55) and, with this, the number of JE victims in Udalguri district has gone up to three till date while 32 others are reported to be under treatment in various hospitals.

Meanwhile, a section of villagers from Amjuli area told media persons that although they have appealed to the Health department to carry out awareness programmes and health check-up camps in remote border villages but nothing has been done till date.
