GUWAHATI, May 1 � The State Government has constituted a one man enquiry committee to enquire into the incident of ferry acccident in Bura Buri Channel of Brahmaputra river near Medertary Ghat under Fakirganj Police Station of Dhubri district at 5.30 pm on April 30 last which led to the death of many passengers.
The enquiry will be conducted by Jitesh Khosla, Additional Chief Secretary, and will submit its report within 30 days from today.
The committee will ascertain facts and circumstances leading tothe incident and related issues like the condition of the ferry and whether any over loading took place. This was stated in a official press release.
