MANGALDAI, Oct 7 - Defending champions Oil India FC, Duliajan for consecutive second time has entered into the final of the 36th Amba Medhi Prize-money Invitational Football Tournament here today.
In the keenly contested second semifinal at the Mangaldai Stadium here, Oil got the better of Guwahati Super Division League champions Navajyoti Club 5-4 via tie breaker. The match ended in a goalless draw in the regulation time even though it was full of excitements with equal attacks and counter attacks. In the penalty shootout Oil custodian Arup Barua became the hero as he diving to his left punched away the shot from Ramsanglian of the Navajyoti. Now the Oil India will lock horn with ASEB in the final on Saturday.
