GUWAHATI, Sept 10 - Oil India Limited (OIL) Sports Club, Duliajan handed a 4-0 drubbing to local outfit Abutani Sports Club in the first quarterfinal match of the Gauhati Town Club (GTC) Challenge Trophy Football Tournament at the Judges� Field here today.
It was totally a one-sided encounter as the OIL team looked in fine form from the kickoff onwards. Zaidin Hmar opened the account in the in the very fourth minute of the match while Mintu Boro made it 2-0 in the 29th minute.
With a comfortable lead at the break, the Duliajan team continued their attacking attitude in the second session and went 3-0 ahead in the 60th minute when Mintu netted another beautiful goal. Raju Konwar completed the tally in the 80th minute.
With this victory OIL cruised into the semifinal of the championship.
