On a rain affected day, unseeded Tamoghna Das of West Bengal ousted 3rd seed Ayushman Arjeria of Madhya Pradesh in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. Barring another two minor upsets, all the other seeds moved to the pre quarterfinals with easy victories against their respective opponents.
