DULIAJAN, March 25 � Host OIL A clinched the PSPB Trophy in the PSPB Inter Unit Football Tournament organized by Oil India Limited here at Nehru Maidan by drubbing ONGCL 4-1 today in the final.
Jaidin Hamar (15 min), Mitu Boro (43 min), F Wary (89 min) and Prasanta Choudhury (90 min) of OIL A scored the goals while Jatin Singh Bisht of ONGCL decreased the margin with a lone goal in the 35th minute.
In the match for the third place, OIL B defeated IOCL (AOD) 4-0. Pranja Neog (19, 32 mins), Tridip Khound (34 min) and Duleswar Gogoi (55 min) netted the scores for OIL B.
GAIL was adjudged as the best March Past Team and F Wary of OIL A the best footballer of the tournament.
Gracing the closing function as chief guest, Subrata Ghosh, executive director, IOCL (AOD) gave away the winner�s trophy and the best footballer trophy and cash award of Rs 7,700 to F Wary of OIL A. Guest of honour, Resident Chief Executive of OIL, NK Agarwal gave away the trophies to runners-up and 2nd runners-up to ONGCL and OIL B respectively.
