NWR take lead against NCR

GUWAHATI, March 25 - North Western Railway Sports Association (NWRSA) took a 58-run first innings lead with six wickets in hand against North Central Railway SA (NCRSA) in the semifinal match of the 61st Inter Railway Cricket Championship at the Barsapara stadium here.

On the second day of the three-day match today, in reply to NCRSA�s first innings total of 257, NWRSA scored 315 for four resuming at an overnight total of 13 for one. Nikhil Doru not out 143 and Gaurav Khatri not out 55 added 175 runs for the fifth wicket partnership.

In the second semifinal at the NF Railway Stadium, Maligaon, Central Railway SA (CRSA) are trailing by 323 runs in the first innings as in reply to South Central Railway SA�s mammoth 460, Central were 137 for one.

Brief scores: NCRSA 257. NWRSA 315/4 (Surya Prakash Suvalka 52, Gaurav Meena 44, Nikhil Doru not out 143, Gaurav Khatri not out 55; Ambikeswar Mishra 3/97).
