NSCN-IM statement on integration

By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, July 24 - The NSCN-IM has denied that its general secretary Th Muivah has given up on the question of sovereignty and integration. It is nothing but a desperate attempt to confuse the Naga people that such a notion is being floated.

This is being done with the evil intention of jeopardising the reconciliation process and create an environment of suspicion to the ongoing peace talks with the Government of India, the NSCN/GPRN said in a release.

However, the release said there should be no confusion that the Naga peoples demand for integration of all the contiguous Naga territory is indispensable in seeking the final settlement with the Government of India.

Meanwhile, NSCN-IM kilo kilonser (Home Minister) Rh Raising on Tuesday said solution as per the Framework Agreement is nearing its final stage.

Addressing the NSCN-IM co-ordination meeting with the Ao community at Sungratsu village in Mokokchung district, Raising further said it is mutually agreed that the two people will share sovereign power in some areas.

The meeting was attended by over 800 delegates including Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang, Ao Students Conference (AKM) and others.
