NRL-Asian Juniors from today

GUWAHATI, Oct 30 � The main draw of NRL-Asian Juniors, a tennis tournament sanctioned by Asian Tennis Federation will begin at Jorhat Tennis Club courts from tomorrow.

Players from 16 States of the country including those from Manipur and Assam and one player from Sri Lanka have arrived at Jorhat to participate in the meet. The 5-day meet will be organised by Jorhat Tennis Club.

The top three seeds in the boys U-14 category are Aryan Goveas (Maharashtra), Vishu Prasad (Delhi) and Parikshit Somani (Assam).

In the girls U-14 group, the top seeds are Saranya Nangpal (Andhra Pradesh), Snehal Umesh (Maharashtra) and Sruti Kirti Gunaganti (Andhra Pradesh).

Three Assam boys � Vishal Vivek Saikia, Manas Pratim Kuli and Asman Singh Deo � have entered the main draw of the tournament and in the girls group, Abha Mozumdar Barua of Assam has made it to the main draw.

Other players from Assam who got direct entry to the main draw include Uddish Borpujarti and Arnab Rajkumar (boys) and Protiksha Sarma, Priyana Kalita, Himrani Basumatary and NAziya Ahmed in the girls event.
