GUWAHATI, July 1 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today directed the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to take immediate steps to prevent any unscrupulous persons from duping citizens in the name of helping them to get names included in the National Register of Citizens (NRC). He also said that the State Government has written to the Ministry of Home Affairs for allowing use of voters� lists from 1985 to 2014 as additional documents for inclusion of names in the NRC.
