IMPHAL, April 7 - Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Saturday promised that his party National Peoples Party(NPP) will promote the youths of North East. The Chief Minister was addressing a felicitation programme organised by NPP Manipur unit here today.

Weve differences. It is natural that we all want to fight for our rights. But NPP believes that there are similarities also. We believe that NPP can provide the platform the people of NE require to raise their voice jointly on issues that affect us and take the NE forward together, Conrad said.

The people of NE have realised that if there is a political party that can take the NE forward that can fight for our people it is NPP, he observed. So people of Nagaland and Manipur supported us and they have shown their faith on us, he said.

The Chief Minister said infrastructure is very important for the NE. We also feel that trade with South Asian countries and Bangladesh is a great opportunity for us.
