ITANAGAR, May 29 - The National Peoples Party (NPP), which has won five seats in the recently concluded Assembly elections, has extended unconditional support to the Pema Khandu-led BJP Government in Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh NPP has given unconditional support to the Pema Khandu Government soon after the results were declared and this has been communicated to the Chief Minister through our party chief Conrad K Sangma, NPP Legislature Party leader Mutchu Mithu told reporters here today.

Being one of the constituents of the BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), the NPP also congratulated Khandu and his party on getting a thumping majority in the Assembly polls.

To a query, Mithi, who was re-elected from Roing on an NPP ticket, said: We have no aspirations of getting any ministerial berth. We are giving unconditional support. Welfare measures should be undertaken by the Government as promised.

Meanwhile, the NPP demanded a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the killing of Tirong Aboh, who was re-elected as the party MLA from Khonsa West in the recent polls, and 10 others in an ambush, allegedly carried out by Naga militants in Tirap district on May 21.
