GUWAHATI, Aug 18 - Kiran Moni Bardoloi, an accomplished tabla artiste and a former deputy chief manager of the UCO Bank, died at a city hospital around 7.15 am today, following a protracted illness. Bardoloi, who was terminally ill for the past four years, was 63.
Son of noted sitar maestro late Sundar Bardoloi of Rehabari�s Suagpur area, Kiran Moni, a Visharad in tabla, used to play the instrument at public functions during his student days. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives.
His last rites were performed at the Bhutnath cremation ground here this afternoon.
