Northeast quiz contest held

GUWAHATI, Nov 18 - The Science Communicators Forum (SCF), NE, a leading NGO on science popularisation and entrepreneurship development, and the Association of Chemistry Teachers, Mumbai in association with coaching institute Potential organised a prize-money science quiz competition for the students of the Northeast at the recently concluded 17th North East Book Fair here. This was stated in a press release received today.

Altogether ten two-member groups participated in the quiz contest where Dikhow represented by Rajibulawal (Cotton College) and Rishiraj Sen (B Borooah College) emerged the champions. The second position went to Subansiri (Utpal Jyoti Deba Sarma and Siddhartha Kalita of Sai Vikash Junior College), while Luit (Hemen Baruah and Jyotirmoy Sarma of Maharishi Vidya Mandir) came third.

The quiz was conducted by Prof Dibakar Deka of Gauhati University and Dr Hitesh Barman of Rangia College.
