Nongrim Hills SC thrash Langhin FC

UDALGURI, Sept 18 - Nongrim Hills Sporting Club of Shillong today entered the semifinals of the ongoing 24th edition of Bodofa Upen Brahma Gold Cup Football Tournament being played here at the Udalguri Stadium by defeating Langhin FC of Karbi Anglong 7-1.

From the very start of the third quarterfinal match, the Nongrim boys dominated the proceedings and in the first half humiliated the Langhin boys 4-0. On behalf of the winning Nongrim team, Bisharlong Mawtho opened the account in 27th minute followed by Dannis Lawphnian in the 29th minute, Winstaroy Kharpran in 35th minute and Shanbok Nongseiz in 36th minute.

The second half of the match saw Johndekful Dkhar find the target in the 71st minute followed by two more by Mickysong Thmsong in 75th and 83rd minute respectively. Upen Basumatary of Langhin however managed to reduce the deficit in the dying moments of the match.
