Non-cooperation over pending salaries

By Correspondent

HAFLONG, Sept 28 - Demanding the release of pending salaries from February 2016 to September 2016, the NC Hills Autonomous Council Employees Union (NCHACEU) has been staging a non-cooperation agitation since September 26.

The main demands of the NCHACEU are release of eight months salaries, promotion, regularisation on seniority basis as per service rules, settlement of forest mahals, sharing of NEEPCO revenue on 50-50 basis, review of action taken against union president.

The Chief Executive Member, NCHAC, Executive Members Debolal Gorlosa, Niranjan Hojai and Ihuing Pame and Principal Secretary (N) Mukut Kemprai held a discussion with the members of the NCHACEU regarding their salaries while appealing them not to continue their programme of non-cooperation as the authorities have been trying their best to clear their salaries soon.

Till the filing of this report the NCHACEU was yet to decide whether they would continue or call off their agitation in the greater interest of the public considering the ensuing Durga Puja festivities.
