Noble gesture by student body

SILCHAR, July 27 � The All Cachar Karimganj Hailakandi Students� Association and its youth wing today extended monetary aid to Anwesha Choudhury, daughter of advocate Anup Kumar Choudhury, who died in April this year. Choudhury was the founder general secretary of the student body.

Advocate Pradip Dutta Roy, founder president of the Association, gave away a cash ampount of Rs 1 lakh to Anwesha on behalf of the Association and the youth wing at her residence in presence of her aunt Mitra Chakraborty. Advisor of the Association Rupam Nandi Purakystha, Choudhury�s colleague in CRPC Assam Sadhan Purakystha and other members of the student body also attended the occasion. It is to be mentioned that Choudhury�s wife died in December 2012.

Pradip Dutta Roy encouraged Anwesha by saying that she has now one aim in life, that is to fulfil the expectations of her late parents. He recalled the former student leader�s contribution towards the establishment of the Assam University. He also said that the money could be used to augment her career.
