Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi to visit Tura

TURA, Aug 29 - Noted children�s rights activist and Nobel Peace winner Kailash Satyarthi will visit Tura for a two-day event at the District Auditorium here from September 1.

Satyarthi, who will arrive at Tura on September 1, will participate in the 2nd PA Sangma Memorial Lecture programme being organised by the NEHU, Tura campus.

Satyarthi is also the founder of the Bachpan Bachao Andolan and has dedicated his entire resources and life for the cause of the underprivileged, particularly street and homeless children of India. In addition to several awards and recognition for his selfless deeds, he jointly shared the coveted Nobel Peace Prize with Malala Yousafzai in 2014.
