GUWAHATI, May 20 Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said that there is no move to convene a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) from any Congress legislator, said an official press release here.

According to the press release, the Chief Minister said, No one has formally moved for convening a meeting of the CLP.

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha MP Biren Singh Engti has reposed full faith in the leadership of Tarun Gogoi. He dismissed the reports that appeared in a section of the print media, that he had advocated for a change of guard, as false, fabricated which have not an iota of truth.

The press release quoted Engti as saying, A few newspapers carried news stating that I advocate changing the Chief Minister of the State. A section of the media even went to the extent of stating that in my opinion the intra-party issues will end once the Chief Minister is changed. These news items are false, fabricated and there is no iota of truth as I have never said anything to this effect.
