�No Horn Please� campaign to begin from January 1

GUWAHATI, Dec 23 - Byatikram Group will launch its campaign �No Horn Please� from New Year�s day, which will be continued for a further 90 days in Guwahati.

Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi will flag off the campaign at the Raj Bhawan at 11 am on January 1.

This will be followed by a car rally touching all the important routes of the city.

Addressing a press conference, Dr Saumen Bharatiya, president of Byatikram MASDO, said that the campaign would be running for 90 days concentrating mostly on the zebra crossings of the city.

�Stickers will be pasted in 10,000 cars. There will be workshop for the drivers of ISBT, ASTC and other terminals. There will be workshops at various corporate and Government sector offices. Till now, we have discussed our campaign with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Transport Partner, etc., besides City Police and GMC,� he said.

The theme song of �No Horn Please� has been directed by renowned singer Simanta Sekhar and sung by Deeplina, Nobonita and Bastab Nath.

�The concept of the song is: we get irritated hearing the unnecessary honking when we step out from our house. It is very important to put it down,� Simanta Sekhar said.
