GUWAHATI, May 11 Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today denied any dissidence within the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) and termed the reports of dissidence in the CLP as motivated ones. He also denied that he has any plan for effecting an immediate reshuffle in his Cabinet. He was replying to questions on the issues at a press conference here.

The Chief Minister said that he has not projected any one as his successor, saying, Who am I to project my successor? At the same time, he said he was going to continue as the Chief Minister. When reminded that he had earlier said that he would step down if the Congress high command wants him to do so, he said, I am not willing to step down. But if I lose the support of the majority of the CLP legislators, I will step down.

He admitted that every member of the CLP may not support him.

On the issue of a minister stating that he has a dream to be the Chief Minister of the State, the Chief Minister said that nobody can prevent one from having such dreams.
