NEW DELHI, May 16 (PTI): National Human Rights Commission today sought report from Assam government and police on allegations of firing by forest personnel at helpless villagers during Khagrabari violence.
According to an NHRC statement released today, notices in this regard have been served to the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police, Assam, calling for factual reports within two weeks.
