DIBRUGARH, Dec 7 - The Borborooah unit of the All Assam Students� Union (AASU) in collaboration with the Assam Tea Tribes Students� Association (AATSA) and several other organisations today staged a two-hour road protest against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill at the Highway intersection near Siukapha Bhawan, resulting in blockade of the NH-37 and also NH-52B.
The blockade caused traffic jams on all routes of the two highways as several hundreds of vehicles remained stranded for over two hours. Deputy Commissioner of Dhemaji was also reportedly stranded on the road. The protesters dispersed after two hours of agitation.
