NFR Tinsukia launches Swachh Bharat Mission

GUWAHATI, Sept 27 � To make �clean India� � a dream cherished by Gandhiji, a reality, Prime Minister of India launched Swachh Bharat Mission campaign effective from October 2 coinciding with the birthday of Mahatma.

Accordingly chairman, Railway Board has issued instruction to all zonal railways. In this connection Tinsukia division has planned action-plan to make it most visible effect on cleanliness over railway premises including colonies, stations, trains, railway tracks etc.

As per cleanliness drive plan, action has already been taken by Tinsukia division from September 16 involving officers, staff, unions, associations, contingents of Bharat Scouts & Guides, schools children.

Special emphasis has been given for cleanliness in public interface areas like station platforms, ticket vending windows, waiting halls, circulating areas etc. This drive is launched all over the division right from Furkating to Dibrugarh - Tinsukia - to farthest point -Ledo.

Sustained public awareness campaign is being carried out all over the division to promote Swachh Bharat Mission by way of displaying posters, banners, stickers, announcement through public address system. On October 2 �Shramdaan� will be organised at various station premises to create public awareness on cleanliness.

In this connection rallies at Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Mariani have been launched to create awareness amongst the public to clean railway premises clean and throw garbage on nominated dustbins.

Launching the Swachh Bharat Mission Aneet Dulat, DRM/TSK elaborated at the press meet on the various action taken by the division on cleanliness programme.
