NFR sitting pretty against Nagaon

GUWAHATI, March 16 � NF Railway Sports Assovciation (NFRSA) are comfortably placed against Nagaon in the Elite Group Senior Inter District Cricket Championship for the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy.

On the opening day of the two-day match at the NFRSA Stadium, Maligaon today, put into bat, Nagaon were shot out for 130 in 49.3 overs in their first innings and in reply the host team were 118 for one at the end of day�s play. Chandan Rawat and Tarjinder Singh were at the crease with 64 and 11 respectively while Sib Sankar Roy was the lone railway batsman out for 30.

For Nagaon, Amit Sinha top scored with 39 while Debajit Bora was the other notable contributor with 27. Sarupam Purkayastha and Sekharjyoti Barman took four and three wickets respectively as Arup Das was other successful bowler with two victims.
