NFR handbook on railway safety released

GUWAHATI, May 8 - Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) general manager Sanjive Roy on Monday released the �Handbook on Railway Safety Inspection Guidelines, 2019� at Maligaon.

An official statement said the handbook has been prepared by the NFR Safety Organisation under the guidance of Pradip Kumar Hira, deputy chief safety officer (Mechanical) of NFR.

After the release of the handbook, a video conference on railway safety was also held where Radhe Raman, additional general manager of NFR; MK Agarwal, principal chief safety officer, and other departmental heads of NFR Headquarters, the divisional railway managers of Katihar, Alipurduar, Rangiya, Lumding and Tinsukia divisions and safety officials were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Roy gave various suggestions related to safety measures to the divisional railway managers and other officers and staff. Various railway safety issues were also discussed for smooth movement of trains in the NFR zone.
