GUWAHATI, April 7 - In the thrilling last group league match of the 62nd All India Inter Railway Cricket Tournament at the Assam Cricket Association�s Barsapara stadium here today, host NF Railway edge past East Coast Railway (ECOR) by three wickets with one ball to spare.
Opting to bat first ECOR were all out for 161 in 31.5 overs. Girija Raut top scored with 55 off 63 balls while Tushar Saha (5/28) was the most successful bowler for the host team.
NF Railway took 33.5 overs in the 34-over match to cross opponents� total. Sarupam Purkayastha remained unbeaten on 49.
Three teams-NF Rly, Metro Rly and East Coast Rly have qualified for the knock out stage from this group. The knock out matches will be played at Kharagpur from April 10.
