New super speciality hospital

GUWAHATI, June 12 � A super speciality hospital is going to be set up at Amingaon here under the joint aegis of the Assam government and Narayana Hrudayalaya Private Ltd, Bangaluru. An agreement towards this end was signed between both the parties on Monday.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in a statement said that this hospital will benefit the poorer section of the society, particularly the young people afflicted with heart problems.

It needs to be mentioned here that so far around 800 children of the State have been treated at Narayana Hrudayalaya with support of the government.

Handicraft exhibition

guwahati, June 12 � An exhibition on handicraft items was organised at the TC Govt Girls� HS & MP School campus by the higher secondary students of arts, science and vocational streams. The exhibition was inaugurated by Nirmali Borah, a retired subject teacher. Different types of handicraft items made by the students were exhibited. Jyotsna Devi, the principal of the institution delivered the inaugural speech. Dr Upala Boruah, an associate professor of Cotton College, department of Anthropology) attended the exhibition as the invited guest, stated a press release.
