New prostate gland operation facility

GUWAHATI, May 10 - City-based Hayat Hospital today introduced the 200 watt Thulium Laser Machine which can operate any size of prostate gland with lesser bleeding and facilitate rapid recovery.

�First in Eastern India and fifth in the country, the machine can operate heart patients taking blood thinning medications,� said Dr Amlan Jyoti Sarma, chief urologist of the hospital. Professor UC Sarma, Vice Chancellor of Srimanta Sankardeva University of Heath Sciences inaugurated the machine in a function.

�The machine is a boon to the healthcare sector and will bring a new revolution in the Department of Urology,� he further stated.
