New OIL CMD calls on CM

GUWAHATI, May 16 � The Chairman cum Managing Director of Oil India Limited, S K Srivastava called on Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on May 15 at his official residence at Khanapara, informed Tridib Duvarah, Manager (PR & Co-ordination), Oil India Limited, in a press release issued here today.

Srivastava, who took over as CMD of Oil on May 1 last, came to Guwahati to meet the Chief Minister. Srivastava assured the Chief Minister of OIL�s commitment to the development of the State and the society. He also apprised Gogoi of OIL�s exploration and developmental activities and also its future plans for the growth of the Company. He also mentioned about the sustained increase in production of crude oil and natural gas by Oil India Limited. Various issues related to OIL�s operations were discussed in the meeting. Srivastava, also met the State Director General of Police, Jayanta Narayan Choudhury, at the DGP Office, Ulubari.
