TURA, June 18 - A new NGO, named Anti-Corruption and Human Development Organization (ACHDO), has been formed by residents of Chibinang and Phulbari areas, to serve as a watchdog for human rights.
The NGO aims to bring out cases of corruption, injustice, create awareness on rights of democracy and entitlement, promote communal harmony, help the poor and needy, besides coordinating with the government for grievance redressal. The NGO will also work to root out anti-social elements from the society. �We will work with the people of the area and with other NGOs in trying to bring about positive changes in the society,� said president of the NGO, Ishraful Haque.
