New executive of PR body�s Guwahati chapter

GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - The annual general meeting of Public Relations Society of India, Guwahati Chapter was held recently, where a new executive committee was formed for the tenure 2017-18. Formed in the year 1958, PRSI is the apex body of PR professionals in the country headquartered in New Delhi with 24 city chapters across the country.

Madhuchanda Adhikari Choudhury (NRL) was unanimously elected as chairperson of the chapter for the 4th consecutive term. The other office-bearers of the new committee include general secretary Sita Baruah (IOCL, Guwahati Refinery); vice chairperson Ruma Chakraborty (Big FM); joint secretary S Sinha Roy (DDK); treasurer Amlanjyoti Barooah (Janasadharan); editor Alakesh Das (GU, IDOL); executive members Jumita Saikia (NEDFi), Dipen Mazumder (AIR) and Hamad Barleshkar (Tangent).

Earlier at the AGM, the chairperson presented a report on activities undertaken by the chapter. Treasurer of the chapter Amlanjyoti Barooah presented the audited accounts for the financial year 2016-17 and first quarter of 2017-18.
