GUWAHATI, Sept 14 - Congress president Rahul Gandhi today appointed former Assam minister Pradyut Bordoloi and former MLA Bhupen Borah as secretaries of the All India Congress Committee (AICC). While Bordoloi has been appointed AICC secretary for Nagaland, Borah is the new AICC secretary for Tripura.
Meanwhile, former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer and former principal commissioner of income tax department, Delhi, Jogesh Chandra Pegu; former commissioner of Assam Tea Employees Welfare Board Kameswar Gazloo; besides a number of senior BPF and AIUDF leaders from the BTAD region joined the Congress party at a function held at Rajiv Bhawan here.
Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora welcomed the new entrants to the party.
