NETF tourney from December 13

GUWAHATI, Dec 9 - The 25th North East Tennis Foundation (NETF) All Assam Junior Ranking Tennis Championship will be held at the NETF here courts from December 13 to 19.

The NETF general secretary Ankush Dutta informed that competitions will be conducted in the age group of U-12, U-14, U-18 (for boys) and U-14 and U-18 (for girls).

As the NETF is celebrating its silver jubilee this year so four senior age group events are also included in this championship. The events are- veterans doubles in above 35, 45 and 55 years categories and above 35 years mixed doubles. Interested players may confirm their entries by December 12, informed Dutta.

The organising committee has appointed Siv Kumar Prajapati as the Chief Referee and he will be assisted by the coordinators Rishiraj Das and Suman Debnath.

This All Assam Tennis Association approved tournament carries cash scholarship of Rs 6,100 along with trophies. The organising secretary Pulak Baruah informed that the inaugural function of the championship will be held at 4pm on December 13.
