IMPHAL, Nov 5 � North Eastern Council (NEC)-funded on-going projects in the eight States of the region were reviewed during an emergency meeting of the Council held in Shillong on Wednesday.
Official sources here said a high-level official team of Manipur Government headed by Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga attended the meet at the NEC Secretariat in the Meghalaya capital. Besides others, the meeting discussed about the proposed Central Sports University to be set up in Manipur, they said. The meeting also reassessed the action programmes of the NE States for the current financial year, apart from utilisation certificates and action taken reports for the previous financial year of the respective State Governments.
