NE to experience rain, fog

GUWAHATI, Jan 3 � Light to moderate rain would occur at isolated places over the State during the next two days, while slight to moderate fog would obstruct visions at many places of the State during the period.

A similar condition would occur with light to moderate rains at isolated places and fog occurring at many places over Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next two days, said the weather bulletin of the Borjhar-based Regional Meteorology Centre (RMC) here today.

But during the period, Arunachal Pradesh would experience light rains at isolated/few places, the bulletin said.

Available data indicate that light to moderate rain occurred at isolated places over Assam, while very light rain occurred at isolated places over Meghalaya and dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the past 24 hours.

Night temperature changed a little over the region during the said period and it was markedly above normal over Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura and appreciably above normal over Arunachal Pradesh and markedly below normal over Nagaland during the period, said the RMC weather bulletin.

During the next 24 hours, the sky will remain generally cloudy and light rain would occur in Guwahati and its neighbourhood, while maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 24�Celsius and 16�Celsius respectively on Sunday, in the city. Little change would occur in this condition of the city weather during the next day, said the bulletin.
