By The Assam Tribune

GUWAHATI, June 20 (PTI): The pro-peace faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland today insisted on its demand for creation of a separate Bodoland state during its talks with the Centre's interlocutor P C Haldar here.

NDFB (Progressive) delegation, led by its general secretary Govinda Basumatary alias B Swmkhwr, said a charter of demands was submitted and insisted on the prime demand for a separate state carved out of Assam.

"We said in the meeting that we will settle for nothing less than a separate Bodoland state. We showed Haldar the map of our Bodoland including the tribal belt and blocks on the northern banks of Brahmaputra," NDFB-P spokesman B Borosa told reporters after the meeting.
