NCHAC chairman resigns

HAFLONG, Nov 2 - The chairman of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Ngamrothang Hmar tendered his resignation from the post of chairmanship of NCHAC to the Governor of Assam through the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao on Monday.

Hmar who won the last election with Congress ticket was the 23rd chairman of 10th NCHAC led by Debojeet Thaosen. As the present NCHAC is ruled by the BJP and is led by Niranjan Hojai as CEM of NCHAC. Hmar resigned on principle ground.
