GUWAHATI, March 30 - Navarang Club lifted the Uma Charan Bania Memorial Trophy after emerging champions in the NEEDS organised D/N T20 Cricket Tournament.

In the one-sided rain hit final at the Judges� Field here last evening, Navarang outwitted Bajali Cricket Club by nine wickets.

Batting first Bajali CC were restricted to 66 for eight in the allotted 10 overs and in reply Navarang scored 69 for the loss of one wicket in 8.5 overs.

In the closing function, Joint Secretary DIPR, Rajib Prakash Baruah, SBI officials Ashotosh Guha, Ranjit Khagiary, senior advocate Satyen Deka, NEEDS secretary Manoj Choudhury, official Kalyan Borthakur, gave away the prizes.

Individual prize winners: Chandan Deep Das (Navarang, MoM), Mano Rabnjan Bharali (Bajali CC, MoS), Nayan Choudhury (Bajali CC, Best Batsman), Bikash Chetri (Royal�s Club, Best Bowler), Hrishikesh Tamuly (Navarang, Best Wicket-keeper), Chanakya Sarma (Navarang, Best Fielder), Royal�s Club (Fairplay Trophy).

Brief scores: Bajali CC 66 (Debashis Saikia 34, Chandandeep Das 3/10, Sekharjyoti Barman 2/6). Navarang Club 69/1 (Hrishikesh Tamuly 29, Pritam Debnath 21).
