GUWAHATI, July 7 � The Navakanta Barua Foundation is organising �Navakanta Xuworon, 2011�, the ninth death anniversary tribute to great poet and litterateur Navakanta Barua on July 14 at Rabindra Bhawan here.
Among other programmes, there will be the usual open session for the children �Akonihotor Chootal� at 9 am followed by an open literary and cultural quiz competition for students of class VIII to X to be conducted by renowned quizmaster Prof Dilip Kr Barua.
The evening programme will commence with the release of a book on Navakanta Barua�s poetry and lyrics by Governor JB Patnaik to be followed by a cultural programme based on the poetic creations under the direction of renowned musician Ramen Choudhury, a press release said.
