GUWAHATI, July 6 - Navakanta Xuworon 2015, the fourteenth death anniversary tribute to noted poet and litterateur Navakanta Barua is being organised by the Navakanta Barua Foundation in collaboration with the State Directorate of Cultural Affairs at the Rabindra Bhawan here on July 14.

As part of the programme a literary and cultural open quiz competition will be held at 10.30 am. The opening round of the competition will be conducted by noted quiz master Dilip Kumar Barua. Subsequently, quiz masters Dilip Kumar Sarmah and Dipankar Kaushik will take over.

The quiz competition will be followed by a competition on Assamese riddles. Akonihotor Chootal, a children�s programme, will be held at 3 pm.

The evening programme will begin at 5.30 pm with commemoration of the poet and his works by noted journalist and former bureaucrat Jyoti Prasad Saikia. This will be followed by a cultural programme based on Barua�s creations.
