GUWAHATI, Aug 2 - Navajyoyi Club outshot Dynamo Club by an aggregate of 5-4 goals via tie breaker. In the inaugural match of the 11th edition of the NN Bhattacharyya Knock-Out Football Tournament at the Nehru Stadium here today, both the teams failed to break the dead-lock as the match ended 1-1 draw in the regulation time. In the penalty shotout Navajyoti netted four against Dynamo�s three.

It was an evenly fought encounter and no team could enjoy distinct supremacy. For both the teams it was season opener as they yet to contest in any tournament this year so far. But the players of both the teams showed ample accuracy in their basics. The teamworks were also relatively satisfactory.

Navajyoti went ahead in the 17th minute when Charles Egwara deflected the ball into the net with a grounder off a pass from Timothy Onyenka (1-0).

After the break Dynamo skipper Kh Amujao Singh lobbed the ball into the opponent goal from 25 yard finding the Navajyoti goalkeeper Mulya Rabha out of position.

In the tie breaker, Ramsangliana, Lalduhuwma, Subhakshan Rabha and Charles Egwara were the successful shooters while for Dynamo only Amajao Singh, Jogen Boro and Nabin Chawaria could convert their shots.
