JAGIROAD, April 4 � Jagiroad College in collaboration with GU IDOL, KKHSOU (Jagiroad College centres) and Scholar�s Institute of Technology and Management (SITM), Guwahati is organising a national seminar on the topic �Advances in Physical and Biological Sciences� on April 6 and 7 at the college premises.

Eminent scientists, Professor Tulshi Bezboruah, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Technology, Gauhati University, Professor Prodeep Phukan, Department of Chemistry, GU, Dr Hillol Jyoty Singha, Department of Ecology and Environment Science, Assam University, Silchar, and Prof Sudip Dey, scientific officer of Sophisticated Analytical Instrumental Facilities (SAIF), NEHU, Shillong will deliver their keynote address on the occasion.

Altogether, 53 papers will be accepted for oral presentation in the five technical sessions. Scholars from five different universities of Assam, namely Gauhati University, Tezpur University, Dibrugarh University, Assam University and down-town University will present their scientific papers in the seminar.

Dr Jogen Chandra Kalita, former director of the College Development Council, Gauhati University will inaugurate the seminar which will start from 10 am on April 6, informed Prof P Banerjee, convenor of the seminar organising committee.
