GUWAHATI, Jan 24 - National Girl Child Day was observed today at SAI, Regional Centre, Guwahati as per the direction of Operation Division, Sports Authority of India (SAI), Head Office, New Delhi.
Various activities were conducted on the occasion including a walkathon in the morning where 150 athletes of NCoE, Guwahati from both residential and day boarding scheme took part.
A women empowerment seminar was organised while outstanding girl athletes of SAI, NCoE, Guwahati were also felicitated on the occasion, stated a press release.
