GUWAHATI, Dec 30 � Assam boy Nandan Buragohain is at the third position with 5 points after sixth round of 2nd CCF All India FIDE Rating Chess Tournament being played at Gitanjali Stadium, Kolkata.
Local boy Kaustav Kundu is leading with 6 points while Ritabroto Ganguli is at second spot with 5.5.
Altogether 215 players are participating from various states, like Assam, Tripura, Jharkhand, Delhi, Bengal. Apart from Nandan other Assam players Rituraj Borgohain- 4 points, Amlan Mahanta- 4 points, Aryan Sonowal 3.5 points, Ritwick Sinha- 3 points, Debashis Parashar- 2.5 points, Prachurjya Gayan-2 points and Priyam Bhagawati- 2 points are taking part in the championship which has been organised by City Chess Forum. The 10-round tournament was started on December 28 and will be completed on January 1.
