Nalbari dist secures second spot in 3rd phase of Gunotsav

NALBARI, March 7 - The results of Gunotsav 2017-2018 declared recently has once again proved that the academic atmosphere for elementary education in Nalbari district is still congenial.

Gunotsav was held in 1,278 LP, ME, MV and composite high schools in Nalbari district. Of those schools, 442 got A+ grade, while 529 schools secured A grade and 225 got B grade. The number of schools which got C grade is 64, while 18 schools got D grade.

Among four education blocks in the district, Pub Nalbari Education Block achieved top position with the performance of 203 A+ grade schools. It was followed by Paschim Nalbari Education Block with 138 A+ grade schools, Barkshetri with 56 A+ grade schools and Borigog-Banbhag with 45 A+ grade schools respectively.

According to official sources, out of 384 LP schools of Pub Nalbari Education Block, 149 achieved A+ grade, while 151 got A grade, 61 secured B grade, 18 C grade and 5 got D grade.

On the other hand, of 195 LP schools, 111 schools secured A+ grade, while 60 got A grade, 15 B grade, seven C grade and two secured D grade. Further, a total of 41 LP schools of Borigog-Banbhag Education Block secured A+ grade, while 72 got A grade, 31 B grade, five C grade and six D grade respectively.

In Barkshetri Education Block with 244 LP schools, 46 achieved A+ grade, 90 A grade, 75 B grade, 27 C grade and four got D grade. In the upper primary level, out of 185 schools, 41 achieved A+ grade, while 101 got A grade, 36 B grade, six C grade and one got D grade.

Upper primary schools of Pub Nalbari Education Block achieved the highest position, with 26 A+ schools. Among 115 composite high schools, 52 achieved A+ grade, while 55 got A grade, seven secured B grade, and one got C grade.

Considering the above, it becomes evident that Nalbari district has secured the second position among the districts in the third phase of Gunotsav.
